




Situated alongside the River Pimperade Le Moulin de Malineau, a typical Charentaise cream and white stone mill house, is set in extensive grounds which surround a small lake with an island.
The grounds contain apple, cherry, peach, fig and plum trees, willows, roses and many other trees and flowering shrubs.
We are surrounded by the beautiful Charentaise countryside, full of vineyards and sunflowers.
We are within easy reach of Bordeaux, Cognac and the major towns and attractions
of the Charente-
The grounds are dominated by our small lake -
A walk around the lake is rewarding, for the plants and shrubs as well as the birds and amazing dragon flies and damsel flies that flit everywhere.
If you’re lucky you’ll see the brilliant green lizards or the resident Moorhen with her chicks. In the Spring the lake is surrounded by a host of irises and arum lillies.

During the spring and early Summer we have hundreds of swallows, swifts and house martins circling over the lake. Not to mention all the regular garden birds and the more unusual like the hoopoe. We also have exotic mammals such as the Lesser Spotted Gennet.
