On what we term ‘the top field’ a little way from the lake, we have our 9 hole Putt and Putt course.

Each hole is over 20 yards long, but lend themselves to putting rather than pitching.

The holes are strategically placed to minimise lost balls.

It’s important to recognise that the course is for fun, and not to be taken seriously.

The nature of the grass (and weeds) and the impromptu building of bunkers by the residents moles are such that accuracy is luck rather than judgement. Albeit that our current course record holder with a score of 22 would disagree!

We have four new putters and a variety of golf balls. Contributions for lost balls are gratefully accepted and each gite comes armed with scoresheets.

For the serious golfer there are courses nearby in Montendre, Angouleme and Saintes.
