Up until this year we have made adult and children’s bikes available to our guests free of charge. However, after considerable damage having been made to all four adult bikes and all three children’s bikes by one set of guests this year, we will be withdrawing this facility.

For the serious cyclists then it would be best to bring your own.

As an alternative we do have contact with a local company (bikehiredirect.com) that will deliver and collect bikes to/from our premises. A typical 5 day Family Package of 2 adult bikes, 2 child bikes, plus helmets etc., free delivery and collection €150.

There are numerous cycle routes locally, through vineyards and sun flower fields. For the more adventurous there are longer rides from village to village passing local attractions on the way.

Messac Church has a map of all the routes and paths in the south of the Charente-Maritime and into the Charente as well. We also have some cycling maps available.
